Welcome to my blog space. I have to admit, I don't always keep this up-to-date, and my musings are few and far between. Let's face it...I enjoy creating visual imagery above all else.

2020 Danville Heritage Festival

If there is one thing Pennsylvanians know how to do, it is fireworks. Under normal circumstances, the Danville Heritage Festival would have street vendors and craft demonstrations, but 2020 has been anything but normal.

This year there were a few sandwich boards in front of restaurants advertising the Heritage Festival and associated specials, but not much more. It was a bit of a letdown, especially for this small town that takes such pride in its heritage. But what the festival lacked from its usual events, it made up for with fireworks.

Whitenight’s Fireworks put on an incredible display, launching over the Susquehanna River and lighting up the Danville waterfront. Hundreds of residents lined the river levee and cheered as the night sky lit up with blues, reds, greens, purples and just about any other color you can imagine. For the residents of Danville it was a welcome sight after months of feeling trapped.
